Data Science Uncovers Key Polymer Device Process Parameter

invalid_date

A dataset comprising processing information and performance metrics associated with 15 DPP-DTT based OFET devices from 15 publications was curated and analyzed.Data science guided the construction of a structure-property relationship.

  • The analysis used a classification algorithm that selects the key processing parameters from a long list of variables, identifying a promising design region for polymer solution concentration.
  • Solution-state and thin-film measurements confirmed the insights from the data-driven analysis, suggesting an influential motif for future design.
  • The overall literature-informed experiments demonstrated the importance of polymer solution concentration for fabrication of high performance, conjugated polymer- based devices.
